CIC Statement

SEND Haven Farm is a Community Interest Company providing purpose-designed therapeutic environments for children and young adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in South East England.

Most existing farm environments are noisy, crowded, and poorly suited to individuals with sensory processing needs. SEND Haven Farm addresses this gap by creating calm, low-stimulation spaces on a working smallholding, specifically designed around the needs of SEND populations including autism, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders.

The farm provides the physical environment and operational infrastructure within which qualified SEND professionals and therapists deliver nature-based and animal-assisted therapeutic sessions. All therapeutic services are delivered by appropriately qualified practitioners, working in a setting designed to support their practice and the people they serve.

Founded by an autistic parent with direct experience of the transformative impact of animal-assisted therapy — and the severe shortage of suitable environments — SEND Haven Farm exists to make those environments available to families, young people, and professionals across South East England who currently have no access to them.

The farm is currently securing land in South East England. Every aspect of the site will be designed with intention: low stimulation, clear signposting, predictable routines, and gentle animals, in a setting built around the needs of those who use it.

The community served by SEND Haven Farm is children and young adults with SEND, their families, and the professionals who support them — a clearly defined section of the community facing a documented and unmet need.
